vLetter Ateddy Font — FREE!
This is the handwriting of Morris Nichtom, a Brooklyn candy shop owner who created the original Teddy Bear. He and his wife Rose were makers of stuffed animals and designed the Teddy Bear after hearing of the story of how Teddy Roosevelt spared the life of a black bear that was cornered and tied to a willow tree. The font was developed from written correspondence between Roosevelt and Nichtom. Copies of the correspondence were provided to vLetter by Nichton’s great, great granddaughter, Melissa.
