vLetter Fitz Font — FREE!
This is the handwriting of Roswell “Fitz” Bassett, winner of the 1942 Hyannis Yacht Club’s “Commodore’s Cup Knockabout” aboard Rosalie II. Fitz was quite the sailor, having spent nearly all of his inheritance on boats, sails, rigging, etc. trying to keep up with those Kennedy boys. Many say he was an aquaholic. Apparently, in 1942, he was under a lot of pier pressure to beat them and he was knot to be denied. To him, it was unfathomable to not at least try to seas the day. Unfortunately, in 1943, he was finally beaten by the Kennedys. They felt it was aboat time. He left yachting soon after that, feeling his efforts were all for naut.
