Francis Heinz was a world-class procrastinator. He lost many a job because he was late to work, his friends were always on him about not showing up on time for outings, and he rarely if ever saw the beginning of a movie. He was even late for all three of his weddings, which helps to explain why he has never been married. This tendency to dawdle started at an early age, when his parents constantly had to remind Heinz to “catch up.”
