This is the handwriting of Percival Adams, younger brother of Ansel Adams, famous American photographer. Percival was always very jealous of the success of his older brother even though he was a proficient photographer in his own right. His specialty was black and white pictures showing extreme contrast, like sunlight and shadows. You can even see evidence of this in his handwriting. Alas, his photographs never really were favored by critics or his brother. Percival spent most of his time lugging Ansel’s ample cameras and gear up and down the Sierra Nevadas. Percival realized he needed to snap out of it and focus on his own development. In a flash, he stopped his negative thoughts and soon he was on a roll. You Leica good pun as much as I do? Photography just lens itself to puns!
