In 1989, Gilspen Lawrence was named Park Ranger of the Year. Gilspen loves the outdoors, and he’s always been outstanding in his field. He spends his days walking through the woods listening to his trail mix tape, which he says is the best way of clearing his head. Usually Gilspen can handle any issues that arise in the park where he works, although a few times he had to call the copse. And one time he got lost when a grove of Douglas fir was so thicket got him confused. But that was the only time he had a brush with panic and he doesn’t arbor any bad feelings about the experience.
