This is the handwriting font of Walter Koenig, who played Mr. Chekov in the Star Trek TV series. Seems Trevor’s father was a huge fan of Star Trek, so Trevor (one of our top designers) developed the font on his own time with the help of Walter’s daughter, Mrs. Sophie Henkel of Tribbey, Oklahoma. Wait a minute! She lives in Tribbey, Texas? Any connection to the cuddly Tribbles characters from Star Trek? Hmmm…….I’ll have Trevor ask her. Walter was initially selected for the character because of his resemblance to British actor/musician Davy Jones of the Monkees.
