Never heard of the Quagga? Well you’re not alone. The animal, a relative of the zebra, went extinct over 100 years ago.
But they didn’t just “go extinct” these beautiful animals which used to roam South Africa in vast herds, were killed off by European settlers at an alarming rate.
When the Quagga mare at Amsterdam Zoo died in August of 1883, it was not realized that she was the very last of her kind.
But believe it or not, a group of scientists outside of Cape Town are bringing it back.
This font was created for Dr Wilhelm VonStripe the lead scientist on this amazing resurrection project.
