vLetter Aj Font — FREE!

This is the handwriting font of Aj Hartounian, who in 1986, convinced the The All England Club to allow the use of yellow tennis balls at the Wimbledon Championships. Aj was the head of sports programming at the BBC at the time and was getting feedback from customers that the white balls were hard to see on the “telly”. Wimbledon was the last of the major tennis championships to move to the yellow balls. Something about tradition. Trevor McTealy, now the head of BBC sports programming, is petitioning the All England Club to move from allowing only whites during play to adding bright fluorescents, polka dots and stripes to liven up the broadcasts. We’ll let you know how that turns out…….
