vLetter Auldon Font — FREE!
This is the handwriting of Auldon McKensie, a confederate soldier who died at the The Herr Tavern in Gettysburg, PA. During the Battle of Gettysburg, it was used as the first Confederate hospital at Gettysburg. Interestingly, the samples used to develop this font were not done from print samples done during his lifetime. The samples came from the handwriting of his ghost that has shown up in the guest register book, scratched into glass and written in mud outside the tavern. The Herr Tavern is now a B&B – www.innatherrridge.com – I think I’ll stay at the local Motel 6.
