This handwriting font was inspired by the handwriting of Christopher “Kit” Carson – the mountain man and scout John C. Fremont hired for his expedition in January 1843. Fremont named the Carson River after “Kit” and Carson City was named after him. Carson hunted, murdered and killed in battle many, many Native Americans, but later in life married two Native American women and in 1867 he became the Superintendent of Indian Affairs for Colorado Territory. He worked to set up the “reservation” system to protect the Native Americans from white incursions. Considering that Carson was illiterate, this font looks pretty good. The development of this font was financially supported by the John C. Fremont Foundation.
