vLetter Escargo Font — FREE!
This is the handwriting of Pierre Morneault who emigrated to the U.S. from France in 1898. Pierre was the first to attempt to farm raise snails for escargot in the U.S. Understandably, he ran into trouble finding bank financing in the U.S., so he got the backing of family friends back in Lyon. After many years of trying to convince chefs to put escargot on the menu in the U.S., he decided to instead focus on exporting snails to France, thus the name of the business and font. Business started sluggishly, but despite needing to bribe some slimy, French customs officials, he soon made the business a success!
