In Memphis, Tennessee, Griffin Dorf is known as the Backyard Gardener. All his life Griffin has had a green thumb, and he is a wizard at making things grow. Griffin briefly moved to the West Coast, but his roots were in the south so he moved back to Memphis where he started over 30 communities gardens in some of the seedier neighborhoods. Now he spends his time enjoying the fruits of his labor and writing about his experiences. His memoir will be out next year and is titled “Mulch Ado About Nothing.”
