This is the handwriting of Jacques-Yves Cousteau, famous underwater researcher. Jacques was the co-inventor of the Aqua-Lung, invented in Paris during the winter of 1942–1943 by two Frenchmen; the engineer Émile Gagnan and Naval Lieutenant Jacques Cousteau. In 1969, Jacques met Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull in a bar at Heathrow and Ian became a fan of Jacques and the research he was conducting. As a result, Ian named their upcoming Jethro Tull album “Aqualung”. Look closely, the old man on the album cover looks a lot like Jacques.
