vLetter Leifs Font — FREE!
As we just passed Columbus Day (October 12th), I thought it apropo to bring you the handwriting font of Leif Ericson. Leif was an Icelandic explorer considered by some as the first European to land in North America, before Christopher Columbus. Columbus, who claimed in a letter to have visited Iceland in 1477, could have heard stories of Leif’s explorations. So, as to one-up Columbus, in 1964 the Leif Ericson Society International worked with the U.S. Congress to authorize and request the president to proclaim the 9th of October as “Leif Erikson Day”. Ha! Got him by 3 days!
