vLetter Michael Font — FREE!
Michael is the son of Ronald M. “Ron” Popeil who is best known for his direct response marketing company Ronco. Ron invented the now famous Chop-O-Matic and Veg-O-Matic and sold millions of them pioneering direct marketing on television. Michael tried incessantly to prove his mettle to his father and in January of 1976 introduced the “Bass-O-Matic”. The response was tepid at first, but Dan Ackroyd of Saturday Night Live learned of the product and the rest is history. Sales of the Bass-O-Matic reached 2.4 million per month following the Saturday Night Live skit. Bass milkshakes are now served all over the Midwest – healthy and fresh with just a hint of Lake Michigan.
