vLetter Myles Font — FREE!
This is the handwriting of Myles Myszkowski, of Detroit Michigan. In 1928, he and the Polish Anti-defamation League petitioned Congress to establish General Pulaski Memorial Day in honor of General Kazimierz Pułaski, a Polish hero of the American Revolution. This holiday is held every year on October 11 by Presidential Proclamation. Every President has issued a proclamation for the observance annually since (except in 1930). What did Herbert Hoover have against the Polish? Turns out his wife had an extra-marital affair with Lt. Colonel Stanislaw Sosabowski (he was a very dashing young officer). Enough said. Having proved his point, Hoover reinitiated the holiday in 1931.
