vLetter Oakland Font — FREE!
The hoofwriting of Charlie O. the Oakland A’s mule mascot inspired this font. The development of this font was financially supported by former members of the Oakland A’s. The hoofwriting samples were primarily sourced from private excoriations from Charlie O. to A’s owner Charles Finley. Apparently, Charlie O. objected to being dressed up in team colors and being paraded around the ballpark. The final straw was being forced to give mule-back rides to relief pitchers late in games in 1965.
