What a nice font! This font was inspired by the handwriting of Janis Joplin, who’s career was cut woefully short. Pearl was the name of her most successful album released posthumously on Columbia Records in January 1971. It peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200, holding that spot for nine weeks. It has been certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA. One of our co-founders loves “Mercedes Benz”.
The song was recorded in one take on October 1, 1970. These were the last tracks Joplin ever recorded – she died three days later, on October 4. “Oh Lord, won’cha buy me a Mercedes-Benz, my friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends……….”.
