“Peejay” McPherson started his career in 2008 as a roustabout in the oil fields of North Dakota, where the fatality rate is three times the industry average. He survived, albeit with one less limb, and now works behind the parts counter at a motorcycle shop. (Don’t tell anyone, but his siblings gave him his nickname when he was five years old because of his constant bed-wetting.)
