vLetter Sitkowski Font — FREE!

This is the handwriting of John Sitkowski, Rockwell engineer who led the development of the high-temperature reusable surface insulation (HRSI) tiles used on the outside surface of the Space Shuttle. They each were all identified as to exact location and helped the shuttle withstand temperatures of up to 2,300 °F. There were 20,548 HRSI tiles varying in thickness from 1 to 5 inches depending upon the heat load encountered during reentry. Each tile used cement that required 16 hours to cure. After the tile was affixed to the cement, a jack held it in place for another 16 hours. In March 1979 it took each worker 40 hours to install one tile. If you’ve read this far, you’re either an engineer or you need a life! Either way, enjoy!
