Many of Lillian Tomas’ relatives have tried to figure out a way to decode her diaries that date back to 1903. Dr. Tomas was a medic in both world wars, where she also ran covert special ops for various branches of the armed services. Because of her secretive background, she got so used to writing in code that it seemed natural to her to write her diaries using a mysterious encryption that no one has been able to crack. Guess that’s why she was so good at her spy job.
