vLetter Wen Font — FREE!
This is the English handwriting of Dr. Huang Wen, who is generally believed to have brought acupuncture to the United States. She arrived in California from China at a time when acupuncture was illegal, so she took a job in a factory, unsure if she would ever practice medicine again.
She helped a friend’s bed-ridden son and after several treatments he completely recovered. This began a deluge of word-of-mouth referrals. She always found a way to see the 75 to 80 patients a day who lined up at her door. For awhile, she was on “pins and needles” anticipating being arrested, but she “stuck” with it and “inserted” herself into history.
