How he pretended to be the author of a manuscript he found in the attic of his family home-a manuscript that turned out to belong to a famous author who’d had an affair with Bendix’s mother. This famous writer was none too happy to see someone else claim credit for writing his novel-especially a novel he deemed too risqué to publish. After a brief stint in prison for fraud, Bendix keeps a low profile these days.
