Texas guitarist Willie “Austin” Vaughan never received the same noteriety of his older cousins, Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan. Even though he grew up and performed in Dallas with his famous kin, it might have been his penchant for jazz guitar – rather than blues rock – that set him apart. He eventually made his way to Austin, where he’s been playing for food and drinks at small but appreciative venues.
