This font was inspired by the handwriting of Al Margolis, better known as “If, Bwana” – a recent devotee of “noise” music. This type of music tends to challenge the distinction that is made in conventional musical practices between musical and non-musical sound. Luigi Russolo was a pioneer in this area and his performance of his Gran Concerto Futuristico in 1917 was met with strong disapproval and violence from the audience! Apparently, one man’s noise is another man’s music!
