Rebecca Rose, who invented left-handed scissors in 1906, remembered being in 1st grade in Boston trying to cut with scissors. Being left-handed, she was lucky that her teachers didn’t try to convert her to being right-handed. You may think that all scissors are alike, but left-handed scissors are set up for a natural cutting motion for left-handers. To prove this, if you’re right-handed, try cutting with your left hand. This is why Johnny Depp demanded left-handed scissors for use by his left hand in the filming of the movie “Edward Scissorhands”. The development of this font was supported by the Johnny Depp fan club of Bowling Green, KY.
