This is the handwriting font of Susan Baldwin, noted ornithologist at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. She is the one of the world’s top experts in the mating habits of the Ruddy Duck. Male Ruddy Duck bills turn blue during mating season. She is responsible for extensive research finding that the intensity of the blue color of the bill is directly related to the lack of success of mating – leading those unsuccessful males into a condition ornithologists commonly call “blue bills”.
