Hkwlhnd is an Iceland-inspired font, and it’s a-fjord-able because it’s free. (It used to sulfur a dollar.) It was created by Valdis Holdhammer who is a woman, but can dis-geyser self as a man. When not creating fonts, Valdis studies volcanos. She works with a large group of volcano experts, and their office is always a hotbed of activity. After work, they go to the local pub to blow off steam.
