Bill Newhouse of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, was a child bully who picked on kids smaller than himself. In October of 1983, he pushed Kim Chin into a school locker and stole his lunch. Bill ate kimchi for the first time and was transfixed by the flavor. Bill spent the next 23 years trying to establish a Tex/Korean dining experience in Hoot Owl, Oklahoma. Didn’t work. Bill is now washing high-rise windows in Oklahoma City.
