vLetter Distray Font — FREE!
This is the handwriting of Benoit Delbecq, who founded the Parisian jazz quintet Distray in April of 1933. The unique jazz quintet featured a bassoon, harmonica, violin, accordion and bongo drums. They opened new doors to early jazz in Paris. Unfortunately, their choice of instrumentation eventually doomed them to venues such as lower-end art galleries, the corner of rue de la Cossonnerie/rue St-Denis and a few men’s saunas. The development of this font was financially supported by a generous gift from his great-granddaughter, Clélie Fournier.
